Partnership Working

Who is it for?

Practitioners at any level that are regularly involved in partnership working, be it Private, Public or Third Sector.

Why would I choose this package?

Making partnerships work well is a tough challenge. The potential benefits of partnership working are often difficult to realise in practice: overcoming the obstacles takes time, skill and resources.

'If partnership working is to be good value for money, the benefits achieved must outweigh the costs involved in making it work.' Audit Commission Publications, 1998.

Partnerships are established in order that their performance is greater than the sum of the parts. Typically, while there is much focus on the outputs from the partnership, much less (if any) attention is paid to performance management and improvement of the partnership itself.

But if the outputs from the partnership are a function of the partnership, then such an oversight can be a serious error. Using the unique Rainbows End toolkit and methodology, our coaches will draw out a shared vision, set deliverable goals and objectives and identify effective actions for the implementation of that vision.

The Coaching Process

Each of the partners nominates a sponsor who will have a joint meeting with one of our coaches. Individual coaching sessions with partner organisation nominees will take place, lasting up to an hour, to draw out issues and themes. Following further discussion with the sponsors, a bespoke partners coaching programme will be developed addressing common themes and issues that have been identified.

A one to two day partners coaching session, usually delivered off site, will pull together shared goals, objectives and a common vision. A follow up session will be arranged to ensure that the performance of the partnership remains on track.
