Professional Development for Teaching Staff

“Academic Resilience in the Classroom”

Who is it for?
This 2 hour workshop is aimed at Teachers and Teaching Assistants who are seeking to create a resilient environment to support the emotional wellbeing of their pupils.
How will staff benefit?
Participants will learn how to nurture a growth mindset, help pupils to overcome anxiety, help pupils to talk about their feelings, improve pupil motivation and banish negativity. The workshop is packed with practical tools and techniques that will help staff embed academic resilience into their everyday teaching.
Following participation in our workshops teachers and assistants report feeling confident that they can immediately apply what they have learned to the benefit of their pupils.
How do I book?
We run our workshops directly in schools as part of the school’s inset programme for a staff group of up to thirty participants. To book simply call us on 07762 932164.
We also run open programmes through the Durham Teaching Schools Alliance. Details can be found at
